Cookie Policy

The Service exchnage.net uses session and persistent cookies. Session cookies are stored temporarily and deleted after the browser is closed. Persistent cookies remain after the session ends.

Some cookies set on the Exchnage service website are also placed by informational, advertising, and analytics partners (hereinafter — "Partners"), who may combine cookies collected through the service with other information you have provided or collected from other websites.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file containing text information that is stored by a web browser when a User visits websites. This allows the Exchnage service, in an open browser, to save and recognize the User's online activity and individual preferences.

Some cookies set on the service website, particularly when combined with unique identifiers and other information obtained by the service, may be used to identify the User ("Cookie Identifiers"). The Exchnage Service does not use Cookie Identifiers to determine the User's identity; however, since cookie identifiers could theoretically lead to identification, the Exchnage service treats such data as information that allows the User to be identified.

User consent to the use of cookies

The Service exchnage.net uses cookies based on the User's consent. The User is not required to grant the service permission to process cookies.

The User gives consent to cookie processing and acknowledges this Policy in the following cases:

  • For Cookie Identifiers — by clicking the "I agree" button in the cookie popup;
  • For other cookies (i.e., those that cannot identify you) — simply by using the service.

By accepting this Policy, the User voluntarily, clearly, and unambiguously indicates that they are informed and give their explicit consent to the collection and processing of their cookies by the Exchnage service, as described in this Cookie Policy.

To opt out of Cookie Identifier processing, the User must click the opt-out link at the bottom of the web page. After the User opts out, Exchnage must immediately disable Cookie Identifiers and delete the User's Cookie Identifiers from all its systems.

Use of cookies

Cookies set on the Exchnage service website (as well as by Partners) are used to analyze service usage and traffic and to improve its operation.

Partners may also use cookies collected through the service for purposes beyond those for which Exchnage needs cookies, in particular for:

  • Setting User preferences when using other websites;
  • Displaying advertising most relevant to the User;
  • Evaluating advertising campaign performance for activities that use Partner services;
  • Tracking User actions on websites.

Exchnage does not use automated decision-making when processing the User's Cookie Identifiers.

Cookie processing period

Exchnage must retain the User's Cookie Identifiers no longer than required by the processing purposes, i.e., until the User opts out of processing by the service in accordance with the "Consent to the use of cookies" section.

Disclosure of Cookie Identifiers

The User agrees that Exchnage may disclose their Cookie Identifiers if required by the processing purposes mentioned in the "Use of cookies" section:

  • to companies in the same corporate group as Exchnage and/or companies with a similar ownership structure or under common management with Exchnage;
  • to Partners.

Partners may set their own cookies on the service website and, therefore, may collect Cookie Identifiers independently.

Transfer of cookies to third countries

The User agrees that the categories of persons who may receive their Cookie Identifiers under the "Disclosure of Cookie Identifiers" section may be located outside their country and the European Economic Area. As a result, their Cookie Identifiers may be transferred from their country and the European Economic Area to countries where data protection and privacy rules may differ from their country and provide a lower level of protection.

User rights regarding cookies

A user of the Service exchnage.net has the right to:

  • Receive information from Exchnage regarding the processing of Cookie Identifiers by Exchnage;
  • Receive from Exchnage, without undue delay, correction of inaccurate Cookie Identifiers that concern you;
  • Request deletion of Cookie Identifiers ("right to be forgotten");
  • Restrict processing of Cookie Identifiers where permitted under applicable law;
  • Receive Cookie Identifiers from Exchnage in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and transfer this data to another controller without hindrance from the service;
  • File a complaint against Exchnage with a data protection supervisory authority.

Updates to the Cookie Policy

Exchnage may update the Cookie Policy from time to time. If the service changes this Cookie Policy in a way that expands its rights to collect, process, use, and store the User's Cookie Identifiers, such changes shall apply to the User only after they give consent to those changes. All other changes shall apply to the User after the new Cookie Policy is published on the service website.
